Comedian George Lopez, Arizona Diamondbacks pitching ace Ian Kennedy, Arizona Cardinals Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt, all-time NFL leading rusher Emmitt Smith, rock-n-roll legend Alice Cooper, Diamondbacks Broadcaster Mark Grace and ESPN’s Mark May are scheduled to play in this year’s Waste Management Phoenix Open FBR/Xerox Silver Pro-Am, which tees off at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1st on the TPC Scottsdale’s Stadium Course.

A regular on the PGA TOUR, Lopez will be making his fifth appearance at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Lopez is one of the premier comedic talents in the industry today, selling out concert venues from coast-to-coast. He has crossed over into the acting industry, appearing in television programs and major motion pictures.

Alice Cooper, a rock singer, songwriter and broadcaster whose career spans more than four decades, is an avid-golfer who lives in Scottsdale and plays regularly at the TPC Scottsdale Champions Course.

Tee times for Wednesday’s FBR/Xerox Silver Pro-Am will be from 8:30 through 10:30 a.m. Exact tee times for participating celebrities will be announced on Tuesday, January 31st.

The Waste Management Phoenix Open will be played January 30 – February 5, 2012, at the TPC Scottsdale. The tournament host Thunderbirds have raised more than $75 million for charities, with more than $45 million generated since 2004. The 2012 edition will mark the 77th playing of the event, making it one of the five oldest events on the PGA TOUR (not including the major championships).
